* WHAT...West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
* WHERE...Mohawk Valley, Greater Capital District, southern VT,

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Scattered power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Confidence in wind gusts exceeding 50mph has
decreased but the window of opportunity for wind gusts up to 50mph
continues through early this morning. Such strong winds can result
in downed tree limbs and scattered power outages. Therefore, we
will maintain the high wind warning until the threat ends. Gusty
winds reaching up to 30 to 40mph will continue through the day
today which may result in additional impacts.
Recommended Actions
Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A line of gusty showers and isolated
thunderstorms will rapidly track across the region from west to
east this evening. Winds will quickly shift to the west and
strengthen. While the strongest winds will likely only last for a
few hours tonight, these winds will be capable of damage including
downed trees/limbs and power lines. Breezy conditions continue
tomorrow morning before gradually decreasing in the afternoon.
